Audrey was born in Ixelles, Brussels.

Moved to The Netherlands during WW2 and raised money for the Dutch resistance.

1945

Survived the dutch famine.

1945

Studied ballet in Amsterdam and London.

1948

Appeared as a corus girl in 'high button shoes'on the west end.

1951

Started acting in a number of BBC programs.

1953

Landed her first starring role in 'Roman Holiday'.

1954

Narrated her first UNICEF documentry.

1988

Visited Ethiopia and Turkey on UNICEF missions.

1989

Toured Central America as part of mission 'operation lifeline'.

1990

Visited Vietnam to support clean water systems.

1992

Awarded Presidential Medal of Freedom in recognition of her work with unicef.
